The Black Breastfeeding Blog was created by Jennifer James as a way to reach black mothers who are currently breastfeeding or who want to breastfeed in the future. As a former breastfeeding mother of two daughters (who she breastfed for two years each), Jennifer believes in the powerful healing properties of breast milk and believes all black moms should at least start the nursing process to increase the health of their babies.

Send your breastfeeding photos to me at info (at) mommytoo (dot) com.

WOW! She Won

Sophie Currier can now legally have extra break time to pump breast milk while she takes her final exam to become a doctor. Truthfully, I didn't think it would happen, and even more truthfully I didn't know if getting more time would be fair to her peers. But the Appeals Court Judge, Gary Katzmann, overturned last week's ruling by writing, "Under either avenue, (Currier) is placed at significant disadvantage in comparison to her peers." Here's the AP article about the new ruling.

If you missed Currier on The Early Show last week, here it is.

Good for her!

Hi read today that the NBME are still going to fight this, which is to be expected. I hope she passes this time because if she didn't -- oh my -- wouldn't look good.
